I could feel their significance the second they happened.

Wishes and dreams.
Steps in life taken forward or backward.
The viewers‘ shadows move across the chessboard,
sometimes covering parts while others shift into focus,
gaining a physical presence through the changing projection surface.
What stays forever?
The analog snapshots I take from these fleeting moments.
Little fragments of time I never want to forget,
carrying all the feelings, energy, and atmosphere of that instant.
The laughter of my friends I can hear in the distance,
the taste of salty sea breeze on my tongue,
and the clicking of an American crosswalk signal – such a distinct sound,
as if I’d just pressed the button.
